Romanian Fair
Between 08-11 of May 2009, in the Cultural Harbour Cetate the first edition of the Handicrafts and Agritourism Fair started.
The quest of the event was The Cultural Foundation „Mircea Dinescu”.
The opening were taked place on 8th of May 2009, on the left side of the Danube River, with the participation of Mr. Mircea Dinescu and representative of local authorities.
In the Cultural Harbour Cetate were present over 50 popular craftsmen comming from all the part of Oltenia and even from Bulgaria.
The offcial start of the fair was given by the President of FPRO, Valentin Cristea.
After the opening of the first edition of the Handicrafts and Agritourism Fair, people from the village and other guests were attracted traditional products and objects produced in the both Romania and Bulgaria (icons, musical instruments, masks, small pieces of furniture, handmade carpets, paintings and icons made on glass or wood, traditional costumes, etc) .
On the 9th of May the fair continued to guest the participants and also they all started to show their talent on different areas.
On the 10th of May 2009, visitors started to come in as soon as the day started being attracted by the artistic program which was to be the last day of the fair.
